“The public feedback since our unveiling has been positive and so encouraging.”

With Covid in full swing, our Centennial Celebration Committee had a task of finding someone to paint a rather large mural for our company's 100th Year Anniversary. We found Andy by chance on Thumbtack. From our first contact, Andy was precise, thorough and dedicated. He worked with us through text, email, zoom and phone. He managed to combine the thoughts and visions of 6 separate people and one corporation heavy with legacy and heritage into three 10x15' panels.

Andy's attention to detail and his precision is evident to everyone who views the murals. Andy walked with us through this journey and was very accommodating when we had questions and changes (which there were many!!).  He is generous with his time and with his expertise. We all learned through this process and when anyone asks us - WE WILL DEFINITELY ENCOURAGE THEM TO CHECK OUT "The Mural Works."

The public feedback since our unveiling has been positive and so encouraging. It is our hope that SOON, Andy and his family will visit to see his gorgeous works up on display!

“Jaw dropping.”

The quality of his painting is jaw dropping. His careful research, studious approach, attention to detail, steady hand, and meticulous execution are off the charts. Overall, the mural will transform this basement and make us even more proud of our house. But, it was Andy, who brought this high-level idea to tremendous execution.

“Stunning masterpiece”

He took only 4 days to produce a stunning masterpiece, including everything we desired, plus more! We are absolutely amazed and quite pleased indeed with the end result of his efforts. The initial reaction of everyone seeing the mural for the first time is "WOW, that's really nice!"- Steve and Pam C

I have many nice things to say about The Mural Works and Andy Eccleshall. The mural is gorgeous. Andy was on time, on budget, and artistically accommodating. He was good with the kids, the dog, and my weird schedule. The mural looks like it was always part of the room, and I'm having a hard time reversing the mental image of the room to what it was like before. I'm already looking around for more places for him to beautify.

“You will not be disappointed.

I have had the pleasure of working with Andy on two projects in our home. The projects began with Andy spending considerable time with us to capture our thoughts and desires on paper. He then took them and added his artistic views and created a digital representation to give us a tangible view of the concepts and elements developed from his time with us. He has always captured the essence of what we wanted. Both project leave people just standing and absorbing his creation. Andy's attention to detail is exhibited in every project. The last project took almost four weeks, and he was as excited as we were to see it. There are different levels of skill and talent when it comes to artistic ability. His talent is extraordinary! I believe that he can create anything you may want, it's all a matter of time spent, not talent lacked. I looked at other artist’s websites and work before we decided on Andy. What landed him was his versatility and his, well, how do I say it? His work does not look like a novice artist, it's just pure art. You will not be disappointed. If you are local, you are always welcome to come take a look.

“Andy is a delightful gentleman, a complete joy to work with, and a creative genius.”

Andy designed and painted two incredible murals in our entry way and designed and painted a striking trompe l'oeil ceiling in our dining room. Andy is a delightful gentleman, a complete joy to work with, and a creative genius. First, Andy was very responsive to our contact; he was spot on time for every meeting and came prepared to answer all of our questions. We showed Andy our favorite pictures from a recent trip to Tanzania, and he designed two beautiful murals for the round entry way to our home. He provided several different options offering a choice of colors, size, and cost that perfectly interpreted the ideas we had tried to describe. He worked with us to come up with designs we could afford, and he was able to start working very soon after we came to an agreement. It was incredible to watch images take shape at the end of his brush. He's a superb artist and very, very comfortable to have working in our home. For the ceiling, he provided us a sketch of his plan and explained how he would use shading to create the 3-d effect.  He was on time every day, he was very careful covering the floor and furniture, and he kept his work are neat and clean. Every aspect of this job was professional.  His art in our home is beautiful and unique. We couldn't be more happy.

“Exceptional.”

Andy is exceptional. I wish that I could give more than five stars. Let me explain why he completely exceeded the expectations that my wife and I had of our project.

Project: paint a mural inspired by children's literary and film characters with a backdrop of Seattle. We met with Andy brainstormed the names of different characters, and he came back with an incredibly creative mural concept that had Harry Potter zooming by the Space Needle on his broom stick carrying a basketball. The overall concept was tremendous, and he deserves taking an idea into the thoughtful concept.

But, what really makes Andy distinguished is his professional approach and overall execution. The quality of his painting is jaw dropping. His careful research, studious approach, attention to detail, steady hand, and meticulous execution are off the charts. Overall, the mural will transform this basement and make us even more proud of our house. But, it was Andy, who brought this high-level idea to tremendous execution.

Note: I'm sure there are other good muralists in Seattle. I assessed some others via Thumbtack and other artist marketplaces, but I'd encourage you really look at the quality of the work. Look at their portfolios. Andy was on the more expensive side, but in hindsight, it was a tremendous decision to pay the premium.

Lastly, Andy is just a strong professional who takes pride in his craft and one who we trusted in our home working by himself. He showed up every morning at 730 am. Brought his coffee, lunch, and overall supplies and just worked steadily every day until the project was complete. His listening, demeanor, and overall kindness to our family was equally impressive.

I just can not recommend him highly enough for executing on wall murals and in taking a high-level idea into a mural concept.

“Nothing less than wonderful.

We met Andy of the Mural Works, Inc. at the Seattle Home Show and were very impressed with his work that he displayed in his trade booth that day. We asked for his business card and kept it on file, hoping that we'd have the ability to hire him after our lake house was built. Our dreams came true this fall, and we were able to hire him to paint a mural on the entire back wall, of the lower level of our newly built cabin at Lake Cavanaugh, WA.

We asked that he capture our lake, surrounding mountain views, our cabin, and asked if he could also include some of our local wildlife in the mural too.

He took only four days to produce a stunning masterpiece, including everything we desired, plus more! We are absolutely amazed and quite pleased indeed with the end result of his efforts. The initial reaction of everyone seeing the mural for the first time is "WOW, that's really nice! Oh, and it's your lake, and look there's your cabin too!"

He is kind, understanding, honest, talented, courteous, polite, and quite a joy! His murals are nothing less than wonderful.

"We are seriously in awe"

No words can express how beyond elated my husband and I are with Andy's work! Andy painted our entire stairwell (4 walls) with a mural that is simply stunning.  It's an honor to have it in our house.  No joke, we are seriously in awe.  At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, we actually said to each other, "It's like the Sistine Chapel," and that's not really an exaggeration.  As beautiful as the photos on his website are, seeing his work in real life is 500x better.  The layering of different tones creates a depth that makes you feel as if you're inside the painting.  There are so many little touches that take the art from being "just" a landscape to a movie, of sorts, with all these little parts going on that add interest but flow together perfectly.  After Andy finished, we just stood there for 30 minutes, taking in all the detail.  My husband will be using the stairway as a meditation spot because it is so inviting now.  I can't remember the last time I was so satisfied with any purchase of any type.  Besides the outstanding quality of his art, Andy is completely professional, timely, communicative, efficient, tidy, and a dream to work with.  He truly has a gift, and we are so grateful to have gotten to share in it.

"Priceless."

The first time I saw Andy' paintings was a few years ago, and since then I have kept following his latest creations. I visited his gallery a few times and could really see his passion for nature. I am amazed by his intricate wall paintings in many houses.
A long time ago I decided I wanted to get a painting done, but waited for the right time and the right artist to do it. I wanted a painting of a photo of my daughter for her 18th birthday, and asked Andy to do the job. I told Andy it has to be an exact replica of the photo, which was a picture of my wife and newly-born daughter. Andy said it would be challenging because he hadn't painted portraits for quite some time, but he felt he could do it. A few weeks passed by, and Andy called me to approve the portrait before the final touch. I was amazed. He made my day! Andy's painting was exactly what I wanted. The portrait is priceless to me, plus my wife and daughter love it! I recommend Andy to anybody who would like wall paintings, portraits, or nature paintings. Andy, thank you very much and I will come back to you with another project!
